bits & pieces

when mom had her surgery last month my granny marge sent some old pictures to the hospital for us kids to go through :-] 

to say the least, i had a lot of smiles while looking back when i was younger.

so without further a due, here are a few bits and pieces from my childhood.

 i was a spoiled little girl... this is at my papaw and grammy's house for my 3rd birthday. uncle jim is on the right...

 and there is my Care Bear cake. i was infatuated with those bears. i loved them so much! so i just had to have them on my cake! haha 

p.s. check out that hot mullet i'm sporting... yes, yes - it's wonderful, i know. but hey, in my defense it was 1988 for crying out loud! :-]

 4th birthday here at the same house - just in the living room. my baby brother michael was born just 2 weeks before my birthday so he's hanging out there in the background.

 books on tape were huge too apparently :-]

 no clue what we're doing, but here's matt & whitney and i

 i also remember having some kick butt halloween costumes! for example: bunny power! aunt marthy always made my costumes and they were awesome!

 i had sticky fingers maybe?? not sure...

i was the flower girl in my dad's 2nd wedding - to jean. :-] i was a brat that day from what people tell me. funny how i don't remember being a brat though.. i remember having fun in a pretty dress. supposedly i didn't want to smile for any pictures - which would be why i'm not smiling in this picture, nor in hardly any of the professional pictures... oops :-] haha

i have no idea who's wedding it was or who this kid is.

 i think i'm around 3 in this picture - i actually specifically remember taking it - i remember wanting to wear that outfit and i was SO excited to hold the umbrella. haha

and probably my most favorite old picture that i've found yet - well at least in the top 5 - whit and i in the tub! it doesn't get much better than naked little kid pictures, does it!? i'm SO glad that our mom's had us so close together! it was such a blessing to have a cousin that was 6 months younger than i am. :-]
