las amigas...

the last week was GREAT. 

sharla and katie came to visit me. 

to say i was excited for them to get here would be the understatement of the century! 

it took everything in me to not speed (more than 5 over the speed limit) to the airport the second i found out they had landed. :-] 

so here's a brief of what our short 5 days together consisted of.

friday night we watch courageous out back behind cafe sed after it closed with the girls. it was a super fun evening.

lils and karla shared a "es-sleeping" aka a sleeping bag

some afternoon (i think saturday...?) we did a picnic back on the new property. it was pretty much amazing. we had blue skies and a lovely little basket filled with all sorts of goodies. 

we laide out and tanned and talked and tanned and talked... did i mentioned we talked? :-] that's about what girls do best when they're together, isn't it? 

of course we went and spent some time at cafe sed :-] we actually spent a lot of time there as i sit here and think about it. :-]

we teased sharla because she had to look silly in this picture. i debated on cropping it and then opted not to. :-] haha sorry shar 

i had a few little projects around the house i wanted to get done while they were here too. 

1.) paint and put down contact paper in this hideous of a cupboard for my microwave

2.) get my christmas decor put away

3.) re-paint a few of my keys to color-code them (thank you very much pinterest)

so first project: microwave hole 

it was quite the feat getting this dumb thing out first of all. but we finally did.

while i painted KT and shar hopped on supper duty and whipped up some awesome baked fish :-] 

after the first coat of paint..

the final product that i pretty much love :-] 

after that we tackled the keys... this was hard intensive labor, let me tell ya. 

i was thankful to have a few other steady hands to help me out. :-] 

and we did get the christmas decor put away too. just no documentation of that. 

we went shopping in town... 

and walking around the plaza...

and of course out to eat at Momo's because who comes to magdalena without eating at Momo's. i mean, it's basically a requirement. 

saturday night (i think...) we went over to the Limones for supper. Limon grilled us some amazing steaks. i honestly don't know if i've ever had a steak that good in my entire life. i dare say this on my blog, but it was even better than my dad's!! 

joe, denise, geo, nicole & michelle all came too. it was a fun night. 

after the little kids left we started playing cards. 

and limon got camera happy and took a ridiculous amount of pictures of me and of katie's hair/shoulder. lol 

on monday before prayer meeting we went out to the casa rota's for supper.

and we played LOTS AND LOTS of cards at my house. :-] 

girls... i am SO happy and thankful that you were able to come down for a few days. i hope that you enjoyed it as much as i did. i love you both so much and thank God for bringing us together as friends. :-] xoxox chicas!
