i haven't posted in forever, and of course, a TON has happened.
which also means i have a TON of pictures. :-]
we had a baby shower (for steph) + a bridal shower (for kalz) all in one and these were all of the ladies present
we have some pretty cool guys down here who offered to take the kiddos all morning so that we could have our 'girl' time :-]
apparently they went out on a walk among other things and the kiddos were super impressed with the morning.
pablo and keyla -- what 4 year old wouldn't love getting a ride on pablo's shoulders vs. having to walk!?
the wagon full of youngerst
fer y gisel
mil was... slightly tired... slightly hungry... and i think slightly dehydrated. :-] no worries though, she was back to her normal self in no time
osmara telling me she didn't want her picture take. i listened really well haha

painting yaneli's toes. she was comfortable even though she doesn't really look like it. lol
the mess of stuff we had...
and i decided to eat an orange after wards.
and the girls made a nasty smoothy that yaneli is drinking. it was seriously the grossest thing i'd tasted in a looooong time.

we went up the mountain again on a sunday afternoon. i don't think i posted about that come to think of it... well anyway, a bunch of us went up and afterwards tania and karla came over to my house to hang out and chit chat for awhile.

there was food of course - what AC gather doesn't have food? seriously... other than wednesday night church, i think there has to be some written rule somewhere that states there must be food at every gathering of more than 4 ACs.
they played are you smarter than a 5th grader
and my table played hand and food which is a glorified game of canasta that was SUPER fun.

the ISU team was here. i stayed up playing cards waaaaaay too late a few nights and definitely paid for it after they left. in case you're wondering, aaron and i beat austin and clayton without even breaking a sweat. :-]

last saturday after the ISU team had left on friday, we had a family day! it was SUPER fun. thanks to
PINTREST i found a few really super cool, fun, cheap games for the kiddos (let's be honest - the adults loved it too...).
game #1: chalk painting contest
i bought food coloring in mexico that supposedly had dye and flavor.
so pau thought it would be appropriate to try the blue. needless to say, her mouth was blue for a while. :-]
the table with the kiddos gathered around. the chalk paint consists of corn starch, water, and food color.
the girl's house was definitely the most prepared. they came with aprons, bandanas, brushes, a plan and beautiful smiles!
nere getting ready to paint away!
the casa rota kids lining up for their design
the mallers + my roomie daniela in the left corner. she's fede's older sister so she went on his team.
there were quite a few spills.
and lots of food coloring messes too!
"hey jenna - i like to eat chalk too in case you were wondering"
"DON'T TICKLE ME TANIA!!!!"
the mess after wards.... ayayaya!
and a few of the finished products....
bill and his "NO COMER" cookie. unfortunately the dogs don't know how to read and hank took off with one of the cookies. this was the other one. after the competition it was handed over to todd who ate the thing without even batting an eye at it.
tadeo hanging out like a champ!
the limon boys minus eddi
next they played a game with marshmallows.
and they were everywhere!
be afraid... be very very afraid!
life continues. we're thankful for the prayers that each of you offer for us. please keep them coming. :-]
on a side note, we received 3 new little girls this afternoon so you can be prayerful for them as they become acclimated with all of us here, learn about jesus, and find security in God. also be prayerful for those who will be caring for them (i'm still unsure who that will be but i'll try to update you when i know.)
